I still can’t quite believe I’m writing this… but Woof & Whisk has officially been named Independent Retailer of the Year at the Greenwich Business Awards 2026 🏆
And the most special part? It was decided by a public vote — which means it came from you.
Thank you. Honestly.
I started Woof & Whisk because, firstly, I love dogs… probably more than humans at times. And because of that, I couldn’t help but notice how basic or overly processed most dog treats were, and how little they reflected how much we actually love our dogs.
I wanted to create something that felt different. Treats that were made with human-grade, natural ingredients, but also looked beautiful. The kind of thing you’d pick up and think… wait, are these actually for dogs?
(And then you read them… “I steal knickers”, “I eat poo”, “I hump guests”… and it becomes very clear )
If you’ve ever visited me at Greenwich Market, you’ll know how much that part of the business means to me. There’s something so special about seeing people stop, laugh, double take, and then call their dog (or partner, or friend) over like “you need this.”
I’ve met so many of your dogs there (honestly my favourite part of market days ), and watching you all connect with the brand in real life has been such a big part of growing Woof & Whisk.
I even started a ‘Dogs of the Month’ board, where I take Polaroid photos of some of the pups and put them up on the stall. It’s become a bit of a moment in itself — people stop just to look through all the dogs, and it’s slowly turning into its own little Woof & Whisk community.
And the same goes for those of you who have found Woof & Whisk online. Seeing your orders come through, your messages, your photos of your dogs with their biscuits, and your support on Instagram has meant just as much. It’s made the brand feel so much bigger than just me — like a real community of people who truly love their dogs.
Behind the scenes, it’s definitely been a journey. There have been a lot of long days, a lot of learning, and yes… tears and a lot of icing bags all over the kitchen at times.
Everything is still handmade in small batches, and I break production down across several days just to keep up. During busy periods like Christmas, I even had to rent a bakery kitchen for a day to keep up with demand, which felt like a bit of a “wow, this is actually happening” moment.
Winning this award honestly means so much.
As a small business, you do sometimes sit there and think is this working? So to be recognised, to be shortlisted, and then to actually win through a public vote… it’s incredibly special.
It’s given me such a boost to keep growing Woof & Whisk and pushing it further, while still keeping everything that makes it what it is.
I also want to say a thank you to Hindwoods for sponsoring the award and supporting small businesses like mine, it really does make a difference.
But most importantly, thank you to everyone who voted, supported, shared, stopped by the stall, ordered online, or even just told a friend about Woof & Whisk.
You’ve made this possible 🤍
